DEAN BASLE
On Tuesday, May 7, 2013, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of Gail Basle; son of George A. (Shirley) Basle and the late Mary Basle; brother of George Z. Basle; uncle of Nicholas Basle; nephew of Pauline Klein and Aliki Shindler; cousin of Anna Carroll, George Detsis, Mariann DeJames, Georgia Stewart, James Kappernaros and Ted Kappernaros; dear friend of Gary Markwood and Mark Reese. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Argyle Rec Center, 1030 Forest Glen Road, Silver Spring, MD 20901 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to the ASPCA, P.O. Dean was my neighbor and friend. I was 15 when he moved in around the corner from me. He would always get up out of his front porch chair to say hello and shake my hand whenever he saw me. This happened for many years, even when I returned home after a long time away. He was his own person and proud of it. He didn't care if someone didn't like him, just accepted it. We shared the love of music, and it was our conversation topic. RIP Dean! I'll see you when it's my time.

I will miss him so much, he made my life at work so much better when he was here and I will miss him dropping by from time to time to see me. My heart and prayers are with all his family and friends and especially with his best friend and wife Gail.

Mr. Rock and Roll to Me as he taught me all about music from groups that no one had heard of then but became super stars Just loved his smile and wit and friendship since 9th grade the first time I meet him and Gary It really does hurt to know that his family does not have him any more
