Dear Billy,
Words cannot express my grief at finding out my very best friend ever, way back from junior high, is no longer here with us. Even though we didn't see much of each other in the last years, she was in my thoughts many times. What a brave and wonderful lady! I know she thought the world of you and Ryan. May her love give you comfort in the months to come and when you heal some, maybe you'll make it to Phoenix again. George and I would love to see you. Take care of yourself and Ryan through this terrible time.
Love Nancy and George from Phoenix

Billy & Ryan

Austin just listened to his cell messages and heard the very sad news. We are so sorry. We truly enjoyed our time visiting and harassing Carl(he enjoyed it, too) about his views etc. You are in our thoughts-- I know the Holidays will be especially rough since they came so close to Debbie's passing--but think about all the great times and crazy things you did together.

Billy and Ryan,

I was devasted to learn today about Debbie's passing. She was brave, a real fighter, and a wonderful friend since we met at Abramson/Himelfarb in 1977. The whole advertising community is lessened by her departure. She's dearly remembered.

Bill - Little did I know when I ran into you on 9/7 that you and I would have this in common. Willie told me today of your loss. I am so sorry. I have some sense of what you must be going through, especially as you and your son enter the holiday season. May God embrace you and the lasting memory of your wife. Susan McCannell

Billy, Ryan, Linda and Millard, my sincerest regrets over the loss of Debbie. I will always remember her as the laughing girl with the streak in her hair who caught the bouquet at my wedding. Through Debbie I met the man I married and have her to thank for my wonderful family. We had the most fun at Dubois and as roommates in State College. My she rest in peace and my you find strength to go on without her.

Debbie is one of the most beautiful people we know. She always had a smile and a laugh that made the room light up. She was a great story-teller, particularly when it came to Billy and Ryan. She had a zest for life like no other. Billy and Ryan, we are praying for you and your family. We will always remember the many good times we've shared with you and Debbie.

Debbie was an inspiration to us all, a true friend, a trusted colleague and an all-around terrific person. We'll certainly miss her feisty spirit, but she'll always be with us in our memories -- with that mischievous spark in her eye and a big smile.

My friend, My mentor, the person who taught me and molded into the person I am. She took the time and energy to always be there. She was a kind, comfortable and wonderful person. She wasl always there for everyone. A smile was always on her face and her comforting voice got us through many tough times.

I will miss you my friend. But I will always remember you and keep you in my heart.

Thank you for being the person you were.

I celebrate Debbie's life. She was a true role model -- one of the few women leaders in the Washington DC Advertising Community. Always acting with integrity and compassion; she will be missed.

I met Deb as soon as I moved to DC from Boston in 1979, and she became an instant friend. We kept in touch over the years, and we got to spend time with her and Billy during her frequent visits to her Boston doctors. Rest in peace, my friend. You are loved and missed.
