DEMETRI PARIS "Dee"  
On November 12, 2013 Demetri "Dee" Paris died peacefully at home with his son Thomas by his side. Dee was active and engaged with his full life of over 98 years until cancer came at the end. Dee was born on July 12, 1915, in Excelsior Springs, MO to parents Teresa and Thomas, and also had a sister Katherine, all now deceased. His beautiful wife, Virginia Cruze Paris, went to heaven in 1991. Dee is survived by his son, Thomas Paris of Maryland and his daughter, DeeAnn Paris of West Virginia. Dee was a decorated WWll combat veteran, retired US Army Armor officer, a Barbershop Harmony singer and officer member for over 67 years, "Hall of Honor" member, Gold champion medalist with the "Singing Capital Chorus" of the Washington, DC. chapter and a retired State Department official. Friends and relatives may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD (Valet Parking) on Monday, November 18, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service later at Arlington National Cemetery may be announced. www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

I will miss Dee very much. I would see him most every day while at work at the VFW. He always would bring me a cooking magazine and we would talk about the recipes. Everyone there really loved him. Here's a vodka tonic for you Dee.....I'll miss you! Barbara
