Dear Jacques and Simone, and Claude and Dill,
We have been thinking about "Mamita" since seeing the notice. We send our condolences for your loss even as we rejoice for her rebirth into eternal life. She was a wonderful, caring godmother. We remember her kindness, her zest for life, her devotion to her teaching, and her devotion to her family ... a love that also took in Jacques's friend John Davis. The Holy Spirit was truly at work in arranging that friendship, which brought Mamita, Papito, and all of you into our lives.
Love,
Kevin Davis

I was so sorry to read of the loss of dear Madame Bernier. She was such a special teacher. She made learning French such fun. I have many happy memories of my French class at Holton-Arms. I did not know that she had taught at Immaculata. I also attended Immaculata but was in the high school. What a top notch school. The teachers were all tops. My thoughts and prayers are with the Berier family. She was a truly remarkable woman, She left me with many happy memories of a delightful French class at Holton-Arms in 1944. She truly had a life that was "well lived".

It is not very often we get to hear of someone living such a long full life, as the Psalmist describes - "with special mightiness." May your memories bring you joy while you are sustained by the God of comfort in this time of distress. Love from God and those around you will help you through the days ahead as you begin to recover gradually from the pain. Please accept my deepest sympathies, there are no words powerful enough to express sorrow for your loss.
