I only met Nick a couple of times, but those meetings were thoroughly enjoyed. I had the pleasure of being treated to his garden bounties and greatly benefited from the knowledge he passed to Dominick and Sandy. My sincere sympathies.

He was the most Christian man I have ever known. He was always doing for others, and thinking of others. And he was a good Italian. He could be so full of mischief! He loved to laugh and hear a good story. He loved to cook and enjoy a good meal with a glass of wine. It was an honor to know him and to get to spend time with him. We will always miss him. He was so special! Dominick and Sandy you have our sincere sympathies.

We are so sorry to hear about this passing. Mr. Dell'Erba went to church with my family at Montgomery Hills Baptist in Silver Spring. He was Sunday School classmates with my grandfather. He was one of the first to welcome me into the church when I was baptized at age 10. My family and I loved hearing his stories, including those from World War II. Dom worked with me and my father with Habitat for Humanity. He helped by older brother with his Eagle project and spoke at the ceremony. My family and I will miss him greatly.

Nick was the KINDESS, SWEETEST and most GENEROUS man we have ever known. We will miss being with him at the many functions we attended together and his infectious laugh during our phone conversations that always ended with him saying "I Love You". Nick stood tall amoung all men and he will be missed by those who were fortunate to know him. Our prayers are with Dominick and Sandy. We know that your loss is great. MAY GOD HOLD NICK IN THE HOLLOW OF HIS HAND.

Uncle Nick was like a father to me after my Dad died. He was my gardening, cooking and wine consultant. I don't know what I will do when I have tomato and fig questions, but suspect that now he and Dad will be looking down on me with big grins on their faces, knowing that I am trying to surpass their excellent gardening skills. I will miss our talks and will forever remember him for his laugh, love, kindness, generosity and service to this great nation. He truly was part of the Greatest Generation. Salute, Uncle Nick - enjoy your new home and give everyone a hug for me - ci vediamo a presto.....Love, Mary Frances

Nick was one of the best. No one can measure up to him. He has done honor not only to all his relatives and family but to this great nation during WW11. He will always have a special place in my heart as he was in Mike's. He was like a big brother to my dearly beloved husband Mike. Nick, may the good Lord shine down upon your soul for all eternity.

Mr. Dell'Erba was my Sunday School teacher when I was about 12 years old at Redeemer Italian Baptist Church (circa 1960). I was one of only two girls in the class and I recall the pre-teen boys being a bit of a handful, but Mr. D. kept us in line and was a very good Bible teacher. Our prayers will be with your family.
