Donald Virtue Obituary
DONALD VIRTUE (Age 77)
Of Rockville, MD died on Tuesday, February 15, 2011. Born in Plymouth, PA on January 24, 1934, he was the son of the late Elizabeth and Patrick Virtue. Donald was a 100% disabled Vet who proudly served in the United States Army. He always enjoyed people and was there to offer support and guidance to many. He was an incredible dad, caring and passionate grandfather, and a surrogate father to many. He always had a open ear and loved nothing more to be surrounded by friends and family. He was a dedicated Washington Redskins fan since 1960, he was an active member of the American Legion and V.F.W. He established and worked for many years at Bethesda Sub and Sandwich. No one will ever forget his smile and baby blues, twinkling with life till the day he died. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jacqueline (Jackie) Delvechio Virtue. Survivors include, two loving children, Matthew Virtue of Rockville, MD and Christine Virtue of Silver Spring, MD; a cherished grandson, Bryson P. Virtue-Bourg; a sister, Pat Scheer of Manassas, VA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Interment will be held Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 1 p.m. at George Washington Cemetery, 900 Riggs Road, Adelphi, MD

My sons, Prent and Nico, both said, " he was the grandfather I never had."
More than I could have ever said in words, Don, you were the father I wish I had and I will miss your presence and spirit for the rest of my days. You unconditional love and acceptance for all was and is truly inspirational to me. For the rest of my life, I will honor and remember you and the time and thoughts we shared.
