DOROTHY BECKER Obituary


DOROTHY DEXHEIMER BECKER
On September 7, 2013, wife of the late John D. Becker, died at Riderwood Village in Silver Spring, MD at age 96. She is survived by her daughter Barbara (Becker) Girard and her husband Raymond and their children Katherine and Stephen (Portia) of Connecticut, and her son Perry J. Becker and his children Lauren and Caroline (Becker) Silva of Maryland. She also leaves many friends and neighbors from throughout her lifetime. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by eight siblings and her daughter-in-law Janet Gibson Becker. A memorial service will be held at Riderwood Chapel on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 11 a.m. Sympathy may be expressed in the form of memorials to Takoma Park Presbyterian Church, 310 Tulip Avenue, Takoma Park, MD 20912 or Shepherd's Table, 8210 Colonial Ln., Silver Spring, MD 20910.www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

Barbara and Perry, I am so sorry for your loss. Your parents and mine shared a lot of fun times together. I remember seeing your mom at NIH when I worked there. Barbara, I remember you and I took tap and ballet together. Did you know that Goldie Hahn was taking private lessons in the corner while we were shuffling around?
