EDNA ANN COLBERT
On Sunday, January 13, 2013, of Damascus, MD, formerly of Wheaton, MD. Preceded in death by her devoted husband, John E. Colbert; loving mother of Cindy Miller, Christy (Eddie) Suiter, Ron (Linda) Colbert, Jackie (Larry) Yankanich, Bernie (Brenda) Colbert, Vinny (Lisa) Colbert, Frank (Lia) Colbert and the late Andy Colbert; mother-in-law of Penny Colbert; proud grandmother of 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Beautiful sister of Rosie Higdon, Betty Kraft and the late Charlie and Buddy Wickers. Also survived by many wonderful relatives and friends. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Wednesday, January 16, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter's Church, 2900 Sandy Spring Road, Olney, MD, on Thursday, January 17, at 10 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. I am so very sorry for your loss. I will always remember how welcoming Edna was to me when I visited. She was a bit of a hoot and I am glad I knew her. Her cabbage rolls weren't half bad either!
