Being a task master got him through the years and I'm sure it also helped many others he loved and cared for accomplish all that they have. Make he now be able to rest in peace and enjoy his years of devoted decdication to all he cared about and for.

Dad was a complicated man, a loving man but also a taskmaster in his own way. He let us find out about the world in our own way but was always there when we fell. He left a little bit of him in all of us, especially his children and grandchildren. It will be hard to think of him not being there after he lived such a long life.

I am a relatively new addition to the Beattie family…only four years married. To him, I and my bridesmaids were beautiful young ladies!!!
I remember, my husband Greg and sister-in-law Roseanne complaining about their dad. When I meet him six years ago, I had told Greg, he was a nice old man! Roseanne's son Alex agreed word-for-word!
When I drove him to church, I learned to follow his directions. I stay alert for his directions...
At the time of his promotion, Mr. Beattie was 98-years, 6-months and 24-days…we should all be so lucky!

Cousin Ted had great energy and was consistently positive. I first met him as a child when our family moved to Maryland. He helped us get settled here. I'll never forget his generosity and our fun times around us kids. He loved sweets and urged us to pick our our favorite candies whenever we went to the store.
