Beloved wife of the late Roger Carroll Allen; mother of Brenda Smith, Barbara Allen (Jay) Spicer, Sherri Leopard and the late Brian Tapp and Terri Abell; mother-in-law of Jim Abell; sister of William "Bucky" (Nancy) Lanham; grandmother of Neal, Devin, Jenna, Cody, Dale, Reed, Bryce, Lauren and Dillon; great-grandmother of Brandon, Brenden, Alex and Wes. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Wednesday, July 20, 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service at Collins Funeral Home on Thursday, July 21 at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. We extend to you, the family of Betty, our deepest condolences. Betty and Roger were dear friends and we always enjoyed seeing them in Surfside Beach. We exchanged Christmas cards as well. Recently we visited Betty when she was at the beach with family. So we are shocked and saddened to hear of her passing.
