EMMY LOU GENOVESE "Skippy"  
On Monday, October 24, 2011, of Hyattsville, MD. Beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Genovese, Jr.; mother of Vicky a'Becket, Michael Genovese, Ann Genovese, Tony Genovese and the late Mary Hutcheson. Also survived by seven grandsons, Chris, Joe, T.J., Philip, Brendan, Glenn and Sam, and great-grandchildren, Joshua and Aeris. Relatives and friends may call at St. Mark the Evangelist Church, 7501 Adelphi Road, Hyattsville, MD, 20783 on Thursday, October 27, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark the Evangelist Church.www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

She was a good neighbor and friend. One of our favorite people. We still talk about her adventures when she was here on the shore.

Sorry to hear about her passing. She was a sweet lady who I can still remember. My thoughts are with you, Joe and Chris. No matter the timing, nor age of you or your parent no words can ease the sorrow of their passing, but time helps you turn the loss into recalling fond memories that no one can take away.

We are known Skippy for over 30 years when she and her husband first came to our small town and brought the home across the street from us.
We have enjoyed her humor, personality and wisdom over the years. She and Joe were both good friends and special people.
