May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Dear Vince,

I very recently heard (on 12/31) from the Adult Group at St. Jude's of your Mother's passing. Please know I am deeply sorry of Mother Shipp's passing. Mother Shipp was indeed a devout Catholic and Mother and a friend when I knew her. I hope you can carry on. I am sure she is looking down from Heaven on her wonderful family.

Mrs. Shipp was an amazing mentor to me and dedicated friend to my mother and family. I remember being in the Jr. Legion of Mary (my comrades would remember me by my name then, Daniel) and all of the hard work Mrs. Shipp and my mother put into introducing all of us kids to a meaningful spiritual life. She was always generous and loving. She was an expert when it came to redirecting kids to what they should be doing. I continue to be inspired by her as I work with students with special needs and continue my life as an artist.

Sending my love and condolences to the entire Shipp family. I knew Essie from when I was a child and in the Junior Legion of Mary. I knew Carla and Kenneth, as they were in the Junior Legion with me. I am the daughter of Madonna Goody, Essie's longtime friend, from the Legion of Mary. Essie was a true role model of Godliness and I know she is in Heaven. She will be greatly missed but remembered with love and admiration. I send my heartfelt condolences to each and every member of Essie's family.
Love and Prayers,
Barbara (Goody)Graham and family

Our hearts are with you as we send peace and comfort in this time of sadness. Mary's example of kindness, respect and faith will live on in all our hearts; may the memory of her constant praises and positive encouragement be an example for us to follow. Douglas, Kyle and Kayla will always remember her loving attention and care. Mary's heart would be filled with joy to see her family gather to celebrate her life.
We are with you in spirit.
Love to all, Jim and Jan

May you realize that as this candle burns, your mother's flame is burning in everyone's heart as well, because by knowing her we are all better individuals.
As we close our eyes and remember the smile always given by Essie, we are certain she is with The Lord watching us all!

To Our Extended Family, Essie was "Special" but I don't need to tell you that, we all experienced her love, caring and faith. Because she was such a strong believer, we should take comfort in knowing that she is sitting at the right hand of God.

To my nephews and niece,
Your Mother, Essie, my sister-in-law, was always considered a sister instead of a sister-in-law. I shall always remember her as a good woman, mother, and a devoted Catholic. I shall cherish the wonderful times we spent laughing and talking with each other.

Essie is now in transition and there will be many family, friends, and relatives to greet and welcome her on the other side.

May God grant all of you peace, comfort, strength, and courage at this time of sorrow.

My prayers and thoughts are with you.

God bless and my love to you,
Aunt Eve
