"Louis" passed away on Friday, December 28, 2012, of Hyattsville, MD. Beloved son of Gloria Louis-Calderon (Damian) and the late Joseph Louis, Sr.; brother of Antoinette Colbert, Ursula Smith (Clifton), Christopher Louis (Crystal) and Joseph Louis, Jr. (Jeanie); uncle of Asya, Melanie and Jade. Also survived by a host of other loving family and friends. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Thursday, January 3, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Camillus Church, 1600 St. Camillus Drive, Silver Spring, MD, on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 11 a.m. Interment George Washington Cemetery. www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

I am truly saddened to hear of the passing of Louis. A kind and gentle man has started another phase of life. Heaven has another bright light which would be his smile that just warms any heart. Louis will be greatly missed. I am so grateful I had the opportunity to fellowship with him during our NPIC years.

I've known Louis for over 30 years . We've attended Jr High , Sr High ,and Sunday school together . As a friend he was amazing , it didn't matter what kind of personality you had ,or how awkward your situation was, it was his personality that always put you at ease . As I share these thoughts with you , I can't do it with out fighting off tears , for Louis always had a positive spirit , that was always supportive . I will miss my Brother Louis, for he always had a smile that could pick you up ,when you were down ,and a laugh that was so real . I thank God for a great friend and classmate ,and my prayers and condolences go out to the entire Louis family .
