EVELYN ELIZABETH ROUTT
On Tuesday, January 11, 2011, of Nags Head, NC, formerly of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved wife of the late Randolph J. Routt; mother of Dr. James Richard Burke and Margie R. Perez; grandmother of Laura Broussard, Tracy Curl and Mary Pat Burke; great-grandmother of Tommy and Joseph Broussard, Vinnie and Katie Curl, Jonny, Jessica and Kenny Rodgers. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Sunday, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernadette's Church, 72 University Blvd., East, Silver Spring, MD on Monday, January 17 at 10 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Colony Ridge Resident's Fund, 430 W. Health Center Drive, Nags Head, NC 27959.

Your mother was a wonderful, kind-hearted person, I loved her dearly, although I have never met her in person, we enjoyed sending each other presents/gifts thru the mail, I'm so glad that I corresponded with her thru out the years, she certainly enriched my life may she forever rest in peace!! Evelyn was our neighbor years ago in Woodmoor, Md. We shared chats and times together. Margie was our infant daughter's baby sitter that first summer. What wonderful sweet memories. I am sure she will be terribly missed by the family. But she will live on through our memories.
