Sadly I heard of Garnell's passing only this Monday. I met him in the early 1980's at David Taylor Model Basin when I started working there after leaving the private sector. I joined the bowling league that he was active in at the time and always enjoyed being with Garnell. He was a good friend and great co-worker. My sympathy to his family

I met Garnell at the David Taylor Model Basin. I recall playing cards with him at lunch, and I believe he also bowled. I had the pleasure of working with him on one or two inter-departmental projects in the 1970s. Garnell was a fine person and a pleasure to be around socially and in a work environment. My condolences to the Belt family.
