Vera,
I am sorry to learn of George's passing. I am glad I telephoned him just before Xmas. We had some good times in Berlin and I always enjoyed our visits when I was in the Washington, D. C. area. My thoughts are with you. Let's stay in touch.

I remember when your whole family came to WDM to visit us and when our family went to Silver Springs to visit yours. What fun we had with all our cousins, playing hide'n'go seek and exploring the neighborhood (and beyond). I wish I had known him better. Dad kept the family posted as to his accomplishments. He was a great kid and a great man. My condolences to his mother, his brothers and sisters, and to all the members of his family.
There he is. On the left!

I'll always remember George as Jean's "little" bro. I have a photo of Jean and Al's wedding with George in the shot -- and me, too. My condolences to all the DeBuchanannes. George's passing is a sad, sad loss. My thoughts are with you all. With much love, Katherine

I didn't have the pleasure of knowing George, but I worked with his brother James for several years. I just want to take this time to extend my heartfelt condolences to the entire DeBuchanne family and keep them all in my prayers.

George and I started out in photography together. He actually became quite accomplished. What a great man and interesting, warm friend.

I have many fond memories of George from Berlin. I used to visit him in his room and listen to the Rolling Stones with him. George's favorite saying at that time was "Time is on my side," which was the title of a Rolling Stones song. Time was on his side, leading to a wonderful life with his wife and son. Unfortunately, as it must do for all of us, time eventually ran out for him. I feel very lucky that I was able to visit George once at his home in Maryland and sip cool drinks with him and Jim Apgar, another old Army buddy from Berlin on his back porch with the wonderful view of his spacious back yard. It is very sad to see another Cold Warrior leave this earth. George, we all will miss you. There was no one else quite like you. Your old buddy, Ray Adams
