On Friday, December 31, 2010, of Bethesda, MD. Beloved husband of Joan Fleming Reed; father of Mary Virginia Lazorchick, Catherine Rasa, Margaret Nicolson and George Edward Reed, III. Also survived by 10 grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at St. Bartholomew Church, 6900 River Road, Bethesda, MD on Saturday, January 8 from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. I am sorry that I can not be there, yet the Brayer Family will be represented well by my brothers and sisters.In the summer of 1986,I stopped by Redwing Rd to visit with the Reeds while heading down to Norfolk. It had been 13 years since we lived two houses down from the Reed Family. Mr. Reed answered the door and turned around yelling up to Edward, "Edward Tommy Brayer is here to see you". The Reed famlies friendship with the Brayer family is still connected over all these years through my sisters and the Reed girls. They are always in our prayers. To Edward and the girls, Iam saddened by the loss of you father, yet I know that he is still with us when I look into your eyes and I see the love that he has showered down upon you and your children,that will always be with you all. Mrs Reed,I am sorry that your best friend and husband has passed on, he truly was an amazing man, that was filled with love and kindness. I feel so blessed that He and you, along with your childrens paths have crossed mine and the Brayer family.
