GUSTAVE SARIDAKIS "Gus" (Age 94)
On Wednesday, November 7, 2012, of Rockville, MD. Beloved husband of Helen Saridakis; father of Anthony (Joanne) Saridakis, Christine Saridakis, and Dean (Cathy) Saridakis; grandfather of Kassandra (Peter), Anastasia, Nicholas, Theodore, and Stephanie. Also survived by many loving family members and friends. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Sunday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., with prayers at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Prayers will be held on Monday, November 12, at COLLINS FUNERAL HOME at 10 a.m. Interment Parklawn Memorial Park. Cousin Tony, Joanne and Family,

From the time I learned as a child that my dad Sam Zarpas lost both his parents at age 11 and was taken in to be raised by his aunt and uncle, (his aunt was Gus' mother, and the sister of my grandfather whom I never met) Uncle Gus held a very special place in my heart. He was such a warm and loving man, and I have fond memories of the times our families spent together through the years. It is evident that his legacy lives on through his children and grandchildren who are a living testament to his love of family and service to others. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family.
