GWENDOLYN KAYE STRIKE (Age 63)
On Thursday, November 7, 2013, of Takoma Park, MD. Beloved wife of Norman F. Strike; mother of Ethan E. Strike and Sophia A. Strike; sister of Marlys Henderson, Stanley Ellison, Lonnie Simonson and Janelle Grant. Also survived by many loving family members and friends. Relatives and friends may call at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 11612 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring, MD, 20904, Friday, November 15, 6 to 8:30 p.m. A Celebration of Gwen's Life will be held at the church on Saturday, November 16, at 10 a.m. Interment private. Dearest Gwen was one of my 3 angels when I came to work at Saint Stephen. Norma is gone, now Gwen, and only Ruth D. remains. She had a great smile, and always a kind word for all. The choir has lost her fine voice and her family a good soul. Margarette J.

I have missed your beautiful alto voice in the choir for a while and will continue to do so. I would always follow your lead when singing and feel a bit lost without your strong voice. You left some very large shoes to fill and will be greatly missed-in choir and definitely just for you.
