On Friday, January 17, 2014 of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved sister of Anne Schuder, Joan Bonk, John Bonk and the late Dorothy Bonk; aunt of Mary Anne Hazelwood and Mark Schuder. Also survived by two grand-nephews. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Blvd, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking) Wednesday January 22, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, 72 University Blvd. East, Silver Spring, MD, on Thursday, January 23 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. I was very surprised and sorry to hear about Helen's passing. She was a very nice person and friend when we worked at NASA/GSFC. I still remember the considerate care that she took in feeding the wild cats at GSFC and arranging for a backup when she had to be away and could not do it herself.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. Helen always inspired me as a dancer and teacher. I admired her grace, gentleness, and her determination -- no matter what I threw at her. I'm sure she's still dancing.
