Jim and I played together as children and attended grade school and college together. He and his wife came back to Cleveland in 1997 for our 8th grade reunion. Our prayers go out to the family.

We have lost one of our own. Since 2008, Jim valiantly worked through his own difficult health conditions to serve as a volunteer ombudsman for the residents in a local nursing home. He willingly shared his expertise in legal matters and contributed to very lively discussions in our volunteer in-service meetings. Jim often shared how grateful he was to join some of the special activities offered to ombudsman volunteers from Montgomery County and constantly focused efforts to strengthen the ombudsman program. Jim was a great person to "make connections" and "make things happen" without the rigamarole imposed within many organizational structures....that's why he simplified his life, his work, his thoughts, and his deeds. It made him a wonderful advocate within our network and we will miss him. Thanks Jim for all you did to make this world a better place for all!
