JANE LOUISE SOBAN
On Sunday, May 19, 2013, of Kensington, MD. Beloved wife of Edward John Soban; mother of Thomas Edward Soban, Diane Louise (Dale) Boyd, Lynn Marie Soban, Tina Jane (Lance) May; grandmother of Dale Woods "Boomer" Boyd, III, Sydney Lauren Boyd, Kelsey Jane May and Hunter Edward May; sister of Edward, Bernard and the late James Hornung; sister-in-law of Clythera, Sandra and the late Thelma Hornung. She was a loving wife and mother and enjoyed baking, gardening, knitting and sports. Jane excelled in giving to others. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Blvd., West, Silver Spring, MD (Valet Parking), Thursday, May 23, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Cross Church, 4900 Strathmore Ave., Garrett Park, MD on Friday, May 24 at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Jane was always one of my favorite cousins. Always pleasant, kind and easy to talk to. I was so glad I got to see her at Jim's funeral as it had been quite awhile. I can remember her now as she looked that day. My condolences to all of the family. I know you will miss her. God bless you all.

Jane always seemed to have a direction she was headed in...moving with a purpose, but always taking time to visit and care for others. We will miss her, but she will stay in our memories. We send our prayers to Hap and all of her family.

We will miss very much Jane's smile and chuckle and then her wave as she walked bye and the times we all stopped to chat over the fence. Hap and Jane made us feel right at home in our new neighborhood when we moved in in 1998 and continued to greet us warmly and ask about the kids and all throughout the years... A truly good neighbor....thank you, Jane.

In my growing up years, there was always Jane. The oldest of my cousins, she was so kind and loved by everyone. So dearly missed, rest in peace Jane. Blessings to Hap and the children. It is so hard to lose a mother.
