JANE SHORT CASSIDY (Age 87)
On Tuesday, December 28, 2010, of Easton, MD formerly of Bethesda. Beloved wife of Gerald K. Cassidy; mother of Dennis Cassidy, Kathleen McGarry, Cecelia Haus, Mari McCord, Megan Barber, Andrew, Brendan and Thomas Kenny Cassidy. She was preceded in death by her eldest son, Patrick. Also survived by 26 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Western Ave at Quesada St. NW, Washington, DC on Tuesday, January 4, at 10 a.m. where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment private. My most heartfelt condolences and sympathies to all of the Cassidy family. It has been a wonderful experience to have met you all and to have been able to aid Jane in her failing years. God has decided, for his own reasons, to teach us all a lesson of compassion and patience. I know that Mrs. Cassidy is by his side now, looking upon us all just as I am sure she is as grateful for Mr. Cassidy's love and care for the last 65 years of marriage and will be waiting just as patiently for him in Heaven.
