JEANNETTE GILBERT GOFFREDI (Age 96)
On Friday, March 16, 2012, of Washington, DC. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Louis J. Goffredi; mother of Louis M., M. Anita, Donald F., Robert A., and James H. Goffredi, Mary Jo McNamara and the late Jeannette Cadotte; sister of the late William Henry Gilbert. Also survived by 10 grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Monday, 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernadette's Church, 72 University Blvd., East, Silver Spring, MD, on Tuesday, March 20 at 10 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Even though Jeannette is no longer with us physically, I can still sense her spiritual presence. I fondly remember her as kind and compassionate. She always made me feel welcome.

Dear Goffredi Family,
Please accept this sincere expression of my deepest condolences. Your mother and I enjoyed a very fine moment many years ago when she shared her experiences about Crestwood with me. This was when I moved into my house at 18th and Taylor and began selling real estate in the neighborhood. She very generously showed me her house and was very proud of the way in which she maintained it. She was a great asset to our community and I respected her sense of historic preservation.

Dear Goffredi Family,
My heartfelt condolences on the passing of your Mother. My Mom-Rita - and your's were old friends who are now finally reunited and having a great time with Jesus!
Anita, we were classmates all those short years ago at Campus! I reside at a Catholic Retreat Center outside Hinton, Alberta Canada so know we are having a Mass said for her and keeping her in our prayers.

My deepest sympathy on your loss of Jeannette. I didn't know Jeannette personally, but I did know Dr. Goffredi, who was a wonderful man. And since behind every great man stands a wonderfully strong woman, I know that Jeannette was indeed this wonderfully strong woman! Now they are together again in heaven.
