JERRY HOLLANDSWORTH GILREATH  (Age 79)  
Died Tuesday, September 10, at his home in Bethesda, MD. Beloved husband of 39 years, to Ellen Johnston Gilreath; father of Kathryn Gilreath and Margret Ann Reckleben; grandfather of Alexander Reckleben; brother of David Gilreath, and Billie Asbury, also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Jerry was born in Smithville, TN. He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 1956 with a B.S. in English and the University of Tennessee in 1972 with an M.S in Planning.He served with the 280th ASA Company in Berlin as a German linguist. He began his career as a publications assistant with the American Geophysical Union, and later became a member of the editorial staff of the Library of Congress. He retired from the National Capital Planning Commission in 2002 after 30 years of service.Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 28, at 11 a.m. at St. Alban's Parish, 3001 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20016.www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com
