Have not seen Joanne in many years, but I live in Maryland now and Rea was trying to get us together for lunch one day before Joanne got so very sick.. She was in my prayers from then on and you, John, and all the rest of you who love her, are now in my prayers as I also send you my deepest sympathy. God bless you all. Linelle La Bonte

My deepest sympathy to you, John, and to all of Joanne's family and friends. I too remember Joanne's laugh from the days when she was with us at Mequon. I am so glad Sr. Rea was there to share those last hours with you and your Mom.
Know that I will continue to remember you and Joanne in prayer.

Joanne was part of our class in the convent--a wonderful young woman and lots of fun. In the course of planning our class reunion this summer, Sister Rea discovered she was in hospice care. I was so sorry to hear this, yet grateful to be praying for Joanne in my Milwaukee home, united with all of you as she died. St. John Chryostom once wrote: "Those whom we have loved and lost are no longer where they were before. They are now wherever we are." Watch for sweet signs of her ongoing love and care for each of you!

As a child I played with my Aunt Joanne who was only a few years older than me. I have some very happy memories of a kind, caring and funny Joanne. I haven't seen her in recent years, but from stories I have heard she grew up to be the same kind of caring person. I am sure God has taken her to her Heavenly home although she will be missed by her son, family and friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

When dear loving, funny Joanne left the convent we lived together for several years. We doubled dated, went on a trip out west with Jane Pratt and Joanne lifted our spirits always and kept us laughing. I can still hear that laugh! She will always be in my heart and prayers. I know she has earned her heavenly reward. Love you Joanne. You were such a dear friend.

Aunt Joanne, was loved dearly by all who knew her, not only her warm and loving personality, but her wonderful sense of humor, right up until her death. She will be greatly missed.

I was very fortunate to reconnect with Joanne in the last weeks of her life. We spent our early years as SSND's. I feel blessed to have spoken briefly to the son she so loved. We have an angel in heaven.
Love, Donna

Joanne drove herself to visit me on March 16, 2011, so her sudden weakness and admittance to hospice surprised us both. She suffered so, but never a complaint. How could she when her son was on hard to provide every comfort he could! I am glad to have met John and to have sung the Salve Regina to her at noon on the day she died. I am also glad she has gone to God. She fought cancer, and then accepted her death.
Thank you, Joanne, for teaching me how to die with dignity! Love, Rea
