On Monday, April 16, 2012, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of the late Alice E. Beckman; father of Jeanie (Tim) Nulty, Jo Ann Resner and Mike (Elaine) Beckman; grandfather of Julie Krivak, Kevin (Rebecca) Nulty, Jennifer (Gregory) Johnson, and Ryan Beckman. Also survived by five great-grandchildren, Brendan and Morgan Krivak, Laine Nulty, and Timothy and Victoria Johnson. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Sunday, April 22, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Church, 9601 Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda, MD, on Monday, April 23, 2012 at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. I remember your family with love. Jeannie & Joey, you lived in the apartment above my grandmother's home in Forest Glen. I loved your Mom, too. JJB will be missed. He was solid member of the Greatest Generation who defended our country in the European theatre during WWII and came home to dedicate his life to his wife and family. His sense of humor and love of baseball spoke volumes about his spirit that will endure in the memories of those he touched. My deepest sympathy to his beloved daughter Jo Ann,his daughter Jeanie, and son Mike.
