On Friday, September 16, 2011, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of the late Royce Ann Oxley; father of Lisa M. and son-in-law Doug McCall and the late John Michael Oxley; grandfather of Rachel, Kacy, and Logan Taulton and John McCall; brother of Roger and sister-in-law Linda Oxley. Also survived by his devoted companion, Carol McGowan. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Monday, September 19, 2011, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Service at Columbia Primitive Baptist Church, 15900 Columbia Pike, Burtonsville, MD, on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at 12 p.m. Interment Columbia Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Just heard of John's passing and want to share my condolences. John was a wonderful person, friend, and a mentor to a host of people at the Coast Guard Finance Center. John made us all better people.

I just heard of John's passing and am so sorry to hear it. John was a pleasure to work with and he helped me immensely at the Finance Center as a friend, mentor and co-worker. I have very fond memories of him. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Lisa, I'm so very sorry. I and others at the FINCEN just received word today of his passing. I want you to know that John left a lasting impact on the CG, DOT, DHS and Oracle Inc.
