On Friday, November 12, 2010 of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of Patricia McCarthy Holt; father of Kathryn Holt (Jack) Snyder and John Timothy Holt, Jr.; son of the late Duane and Tom Holt; brother of Felix Thomas (Nancy) III, Jeremy K. (Kim) and Kevin D. (Margie) Holt; son-in-law of Bonnie McCarthy; brother-in-law of Dale (Brian) Cummings, Maureen (Aziz) Mahfoudi, and Virginia (Roger) Clark. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD (Valet Parking) Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where funeral service will be held on Monday, November 22 at 9 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Dear Patty,
I was so very sorry to hear about Tim's passing.I have been out of touch with the Washington area and was so sad that I didn't hear about it until after the fact. I would have wanted to be at the service to support you and your family.
We have such fond memories of past times spent together!
My thoughts and prayers are with you and I pray the Lord will give you strength and peace.

Patty, I am stunned. I am so sorry. I was just checking my email in the car on the way home from Myrtle Beach when I heard about Tim. I didn't even know that he was ill. It has been so long since we have talked, Patty. I have thought of you often over the years and wondered how you and your family were. I have so many memories of when the kids were young and played together, of your mom and sisters. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Wendy

Dear Patty and Family, I feel like I live in outer Mongolia, I just heard about Timmy. I am sorry to say I hadn't heard Tim was ill. Please accept me and my family's condolences at this late time. I felt so tied to the Holt Family through Camp Appalachia and also WJ. Timmy was one of my top friends of all time. Patty I am sorry we lost touch over the years.
Know that Timmy, you,your children and family are in my thoughts and prayers at this time. God Bless.

Dear Patty, Jerry Kim, Tommy and Kevin,
I am profoundly sorry for the loss of your husband and brother. I remember Timmy and all of the Holt boys as children and delightful you were!
And Patty, Patricia spoke many times of you and how wonderful you are. We are keeping all of you in our prayers. I wish we could do more.

Patty and Family - it's been years, but we have just learned of Tim's passing. You were such great neighbors - I remember Tim picking me up in the middle of Bristol after being knocked down by "Snowpuff" (i think that's right) and him carrying me into your home. And then you broke your foot! WOW! He was a gentle and caring man and I'm sure Tim will be greatly missed. You are in our prayers. Honore, Rick, Eric and Erin Hastings

Patty, we haven't been in touch in years but I wanted to say how much I enjoyed knowing Tim while we were at High School. We all had some very good times together and I remember him for his great laugh and sense of humor. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope we can meet up when I''m next back in Kensington.

I am grateful to have gotten to know such a wonderful man just a little bit. He really enjoyed his life when he was here with us. I can see him playing with
the dogs in my minds eye, and his appetite for life is what I remember.

Uncle Timmy, I love you. I will miss you more than you will ever know. You were a wonderful Uncle and Godfather, and I just hope you know how much laughter and happiness you brought our family. I still remember you rubbing your scruffy face up against mine when I was young to make me laugh, and of course your redneck teeth. You will be missed so much, by everyone who knew you. The Holt's won't be the same without you. Can't wait to see you again.
