JOSEPH HENRY FARRELL (Age 82)
On Monday, July 16, 2012 of Kensington, MD. Beloved husband of the late Mary Alice Farrell; father of Alice Green (Wheeler), Tammy Sarvi (Michael), Teresa Dye (Kenny) and the late David Farrell; grandfather of Adrien Green, Sean Sarvi, Michael Dye, Linda Dye and Joseph Harlien Farrell; companion of the late Revie Jamieson. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Blvd West, Silver Spring, MD (Valet Parking) on Thursday, July 19 from 10 to 11 a.m. where Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment Parklawn Memorial Park. Grandpa Joe... I am forever grateful that I knew you. You were a kind and giving father, father-in-law and grandfather. Your unconditional love and support for the three of us is not only a model for me to follow but will be something Joseph grows up knowing. I know you missed David so much, and I know that you are up with him keeping watch over us. We love you and will miss you so very much.

Our entire family loved you, Mr. Farrell. Such great memories together including dinners at each others' homes (playing poker) and of course many vacations together in Myrtle Beach! We'll never forget knocking on your door in the wee hours as we couldn't find a place to stay when we were kids. My mom always found a dance partner in you. We will always love you and cherish these great memories.

To my great Uncle Jobo, May you rest in peace now that you are home with your son, parents, siblings, and my grandma (your sister in law). I will hold close the memories I have with you from my childhood and when we came to visit years ago. My thoughts are with the family today as you pay tribute and celebrate the life of a wonderful man who was so loved. The memories you have of him will be cherished and held close to your heart forever and will help you with the loss. I wish we all lived closer so we could gather and honor Uncle Jobo. Our hearts are there and we will be thinking of you all today. We will miss you Uncle!
