On Friday, October 14, 2011, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved wife of Charles H.M. Beatty, Jr.; mother of Charles H.M. (Roxanne) Beatty, III and Thomas M. (Amy) Beatty; grandmother of Daniel T, Kathleen L., and Elizabeth Beatty. Sister of Linda Tidwell and Connie Daniel both of Nashville, TN. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Wednesday, October 19, 7 to 9 p.m. (prayer service at 8 p.m.) and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, October 20, with a Funeral Service to be held at 11 a.m. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. My thoughts and prayers have been with all of you since Connie tolds us of Judy's illness. My memory of Judy is when her Mother, Linda & Connie lived near me in Nashville. I can still see her portrait above the sofa and remember how beautiful she was then. Know that she is in a better place, it's always so difficult for those left behind. God Bless all of you.

Judy, my prayers and thoughts are with your family. I will miss you dearly. You were such a "southern belle" and as sweet as can be. You will be missed by all of us who loved you so much. You were much more than a co-worker - you were a dear, dear friend. I will miss your joy, laugh and smile. Rest in peace.

Judy was so very special to those of us who were fortunate enough to keep up since high school. I missed the beach gathering in June, but count myself very lucky that I was with her in Sewannee 3 years ago. My thoughts are with you all; her family meant so very much to her.

It's so hard to express how I feel about Judy. We first met at age three as our parents were friends and our sisters were born on the same day. I am so sad to know we won't be sharing any long letters or emails anymore - hearing about the family and especially Kathleen. In another way I feel joy that she is no longer suffering - that she is at home with the Lord and I will see her again - perfectly healed. I am thinking about all of you so much. Judy was a wonderful friend to me beginning in 7th grade. I am so thankful that she was able to be here with us at the beach in June. I treasure those memories as she looked so pretty and seemed so happy.
