Dear Vi, Lori, Carl, Larry and Arlene and Ray -
It was a great sadness to learn that Keith passed away. The world has lost a wonderful husband, father and friend. Cousin Keith had a unique ability to make people feel special and important. I believe that was because he sincerely felt that way about everyone. I was fortunate to have him in my young life and to have continued a friendship as we aged. We shared an email relationship that kept us connected through the years. One of my favorite traditions was to acknowledge him annually on various U.S. military holidays for his military contribution. Those of you who may not know, Keith played an historical role in the Korean War in the Battle of Pork Chop Hill. He was one of 10 soldiers in his company of 100 plus to survive the battle. In my mind's eye, that's quite heroic; to him it was in the line of duty and he made light of it. However, he always appreciated the acknowledgement and I believe began watching for my annual note. We know this joyful, dedicated and devoted man will be missed by many, but especially you, his family. With heartfelt sympathy to each of you as you honor his life - may memories strengthen and sustain you in this difficult time. Love, Carol Ann and Holly

To the Keith Lentner Family:
Our deepest sympathy for your loss of a dear and vibrant member of your family.
Although we didn't come to know him well enough until more recent years, my family enjoyed the time spent with him on our trip to D.C. He so kindly taxied and deftly maneuvered through the traffic, all the while smiling and narrating his knowledge of "the town." Then he took us to the town where he loved to be, Silver Spring, where we met with Lori, her husband and young child, and of course, his beloved Vi. Our lasting impression will always be Keith's chuckle and smile, just like his dad, John.
Love you all, The Lanis Family (Barb Ruthig, Ken, Casey and Jessica)

Dear Vi, Carl, Larry, Lory and Arlene,
I was very sad to hear of Keith's. Passing. I remember him mostly from my childhood. He came to stay with our family in Filion, Mi And most impressed me when he showed me how to climb a telephone pole with his climbing spikes. I was talking about him with my mother (Helen Ruthig) on Thanksgiving day about how he was still active with his softball team. He will be missed but will remain one of my fond memories.

Vi, Carl, Larry & Lori,
Our entire family is so very sad to hear about Keith's passing. He was such a special person in each and everyone of our lives in the Harold Ruthig family. When we were little, he shined in all of our eyes as he made every one of us individually feel special whenever he was around. He was certainly a special peson, and I'm sure you were all very proud of him. Even though we saw very little of Keith in later years, it felt like he was always with us when he came to Dad's funeral and did the ulogy for us. That was awesome. Our memories of having dinner with him that week also was lots of fun. We will miss him so, and know you will as well even on so much a greater scale. We love you all, and our thoughts and prayers are with you today and in the future as well. You must have so many wonderful memories of Keith. Take care, and we will be thinking of you.

Dear Vi,Arlene, Carl, Larry and Lori,
There must be deep sadness in your hearts after the loss of your husband, brother and father. I remember so well how vital and fun he was in his young life. I'm quite sure he has left a rich legacy, for which you are all grateful.
My dad passed away at the very same age. He really enjoyed Keith and the whole Lentner family. As we are all so scattered around the country, we have not had the opportunity to share time together, for which I am sad.
Warm your hearts with good memories and keep faith in the Lord who will continue to give you comfort in the days ahead.
Love, Janet and Fred
