The anniversary of your passing is tomorrow, 9 years ago. I think of you every day and talk often to my students about the many lessons you taught the three of us. I tell them that you are my Hero. Always were, will always be. You raised us to be good people, to care deeply about others, and to love unconditionally. I am the person you made me, I couldn´t have had a better father, you are missed by your three children, your seven grandchildren, as well as all those that got to know Lee Grant over the years. Thank you for being the man you were.

I am a Cold War historian and I came across an interesting document at the National Archives re: Leon M Grant Sr that might be of interest to the family. Can someone from the family please email me? Thank you!

To all those who have reached out in support of our family, offered condolences on our dad's passing, and/or shared personal remembrances of how Lee Grant was a plus in their life... "thank you". We are very blessed as a family to have such wonderful friends in so many places. It's all a tribute to both of our parents, Lee & Lilo Grant.
Most sincerely,
Peter Grant

The few times we met Mr. Grant was always interested in hearing how I was doing. He remembered every detail of our previous talks, it was amazing. I especially remember a chance to be with the SJC Team Moderator while I was in VA. for work. Pete got me a ticket to the SJC vs. DeMatha basketball game (it was the late '70's at DeMatha, Mr. Grant would remember). I sat behind the bench with Mr. Grant and Stephen at DeMatha's gym and watched a classic game between the two rivals. Mr. Grant new every player, every statistic, the history of the previous years; it was great.
