I will always remember how thrilled she was for the classical concert Meg arranged for her at my home. She was a wonderful person.

Aunt Peg,

It is hard to believe it has been 10 years since your passing. I've been able to reconnect with three of your adult children: Dot, Jim, and Meg. All three possess your benevolent spirit. We all miss you and talk about you when together. Your spirit lives on.

Whenever I have my piano tuned I remember Margaret. She had a deep-seated appreciation of music and I remember a concert I arranged for the professional pianist Brian Ganz to perform a private recital for her. I had to have the piano tuned before that recital. I felt so happy seeing her beaming quietly as Brian played. She was a gracious person who knew how to give praise and make all around her feel uplifted. I still miss Margaret. Marc Apter

I was extremely saddened by the passing of Mrs. Davis. She was like a second mom to me because I spent so much of my childhood at 5810. She was a bright, funny person who accepted everyone as the way they were plus she wasn't afraid to speak her mind about anything. I will miss her dearly.

To the Entire Davis Family,

Words at this time seem so hard to come by. Your mother was such a wonderful, loving, caring and beautiful person. My mom was fortunate enough to know both your mom and dad growing up, and we "Gannon" children were fortunate enough to know your family growing up. She will forever remain in our memories and prayers. I know that she was welcomed with open loving arms into heaven. She made this world a brighter and happier place. I also know that she got a huge welcome from our dog and her loyal daily visitor all those years ago, Schufty who also knew what a special lady she was. You were all so blessed to have her as your mom, and we who knew her were also blessed.

I got to know Peggy over the last 10 years. She was a wonderful friend who cared very deeply for her children, husband and grandkids. I was taken by her love of classical music and the joy it brought her. I will miss her dearly.

There are no words that can take away the pain of Peggy's passing. I know each of her children and her brother, Michael, will miss her dearly, as well as extended family and friends. We were all blessed to have had her in our lives. Aunt Peggy was one of my very favorite people—the memory of her will remain alive in my heart. She was my father's only sister and Momma Dot's only daughter. Being the only girl gave her a very special place in the Hawkins family. For me as a child, she was the aunt who lived far away in the big house in Washington D.C.—the aunt with so many children. As an adult, I came to know her as a kind, loving, and forgiving woman who made her family a priority. She was the keeper of the family history and always open for sharing. The world was a better place because she lived, and her gracious spirit will remain alive in us all.
