Sherry and I graduated together from Shanghai American School in 1948, and met at many subsequent SAS reunions in both China and America.
There will be many more of her schoolmates and alumni sharing memories from over the decades when they learn in the alumni newsletter that she is gone.
At SAS she lived in the women's dorm, was active in the school glee club, sang in the all-girl Sextet, reported on the weekly school paper, served as secretary and treasurer of the Youth Fellowship and secretary of the National Honor Society, and played field hockey.
She and Don memorably brought their birdwatching passion to the 2005 SAS reunion in Bellingham WA, leading a tour of the nearby waterbird wet lands.
Don, our hearts and thoughts go with you.

I had the extreme pleasure of dining with Sherry one evening last year when visiting my in-laws at Riderwood and she left quite the impression on me. And it wasn't until the end of our meal that we discovered a connection that I went to Northwood with Donna. I am so sorry for your loss; my thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family.

Don,
You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. We appreciated the support from both you and Sherry in supporting Girl Scout Troop 2055 at Marvin Memorial and being there to encourage the girls this past June. Sherry was a giving person and will certainly be missed those whose lives she touched.

Sherry was so kind and helpful when I volunteered for the after worship food at Marvin and didn't know where anything was, or even how to use the coffee makers. She took the time to show me the ropes. I will miss her.

Sherry, we will miss you, and think of you now enjoying the heavenly banquet- and remember how we enjoyed your presence with us at Riderwood, particularly sharing poetry.
