Please convey our deepest sympathies to Uncle Jim's family. We are glad that we had an opportunity to spend time with him at the Family Reunion at the Park in Maryland. He was very kind to our mother Brid Mc Mahon (nee Moloney), Aggie Moloney's daugher, when she was ill with cancer in the 1990's. He sent her lovely letters, chocolates and books to give her comfort and they brought smiles to her face. She always spoke very highly of him.
Our thoughts are with you.

I remember when I was about ten years old and Uncle Jim showed my dad a deck of cards with different Navy survival topics on each card. Jim had been a survival instructor. My dad showed Uncle Jim the front of the card, asked him the question on the back, and then my dad gave me the card to check out the answer. Uncle Jim got every question right! I was in awe of him. My mom tells me that he and she would do the "jitterbug" together. She also said that Uncle Jim would prank call my dad and her, saying he was the pizza man and that he needed to deliver their pizza they "ordered". Mom told me that Uncle Jim told her when she visited just recently that she better make sure she gets her pizza. He was a kidder right to the end. My mom and all of us will miss him. God bless you Uncle Jim!

dearest brother James, I'll miss you, I've been thinking back over when we were young. I remember when you came up to wisconsin on furlough. Buzz and Mike would follow you around like the pied piper. Always asking you "what you doing?" and you'd tell them "chasing butterflies" and they would be trying to find them. I only have good memories of you and can handle this knowing you are in a beautiful place. Mom and Dad were waiting for you and Clare and Elder too. p.s. I'm going to miss the pizza man calling me. love always ,your sister, Mary Margeret
