Meng; sister of Michael J. Purdy, David A. Purdy and Dorothy A. Rapp. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Sunday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick's Church, Norbeck and Muncaster Mill Roads, Rockville, MD, on Monday, April 4, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. I am so saddened to hear of Mary Ellen's passing. I remember she and her Dad giving me a ride back to Wheeling after a rugby tourney in DC. She was such a sweet and kind person. I will keep all of you in my prayers.

Coolie, Karen and I were so sad to hear of Mary Ellen's passing. You and she are just the greatest people. My best memory of Mary Ellen was that she was the person who took me under her wing when I arrived at Wheeling and made sure she introduced me to everyone.
