MARY JEAN O'NEILL (Age 77)
On Wednesday, July 27, 2011, of Columbia, MD. Beloved mother of Mary Beth O'Neill Charles (Bob), Jean Freund (Kemp), Timothy O'Neill, Michael O'Neill (Linda), Thomas O'Neill (Mary), Eileen O'Neill Powell (David), Maureen Murphy, Tricia Snyder (Steven), John O'Neill (Dana), Dennis O'Neill, and Cara Zamboni (Bill); sister of Marion O'Donnell, Joseph Hogan, Donny Hogan, Dick Hogan and the late Fr. John Hogan and Billy Hogan. Also survived by 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Monday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart-Bowie, 16501 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD, on Tuesday, August 2, at 10 a.m. Interment Sacred Heart Church Cemetery. My deepest sympathy to the O'Neill family. Tricia is like a sister to me and you all were like a second family to me growing up as well. I will never forgot all the great times I had at your house and with your family. Your Mom was a great women and loving Mother. I will always remember her smiling and laughing through her rich sense of humor. She will always have my utmost respect, even through some bumpy times and several pieces of humble pie. A woman of great strength, courage and faith. Raising 11 children of character with a deep value of family. A true blessing to the people that knew her. I pray the Lord be extra close to the O'neill family during this time.

As a child i remember going to Aunt Jeanie's an Uncle Jack's house. I loved going to their house, it was very inviting and fun. Aunt Jeanie I always thought was fantastic with all the kids she had and i just loved being there. Aunt Jeanie was a loving person and just enjoyed being in her house.

My family (along w/ my parents-Don & Janet) send our sincerest condolences to all the O'Neill's and Hogans. I always remember Mrs. O'Neill being around our games and welcoming us in her home afterwards with much hospitality and grace. She was a special person.
