MAURINE E. BRANNIGAN,  Ensign, USNR  
On Friday, October 29, 2010 in Fort Collins, CO, formerly of Bethesda/Scientist's Cliffs, MD. She lived a life of service to family, God, and country. Born January 18, 1921 in New York City. Married for 62 years to her beloved husband, the late Francis L. Brannigan, LCDR, USNR (Ret.). Survived by her children, Anne Veronica Brannigan-Kelly, Christopher J. Brannigan, Vincent M. Brannigan, Eileen B. Longsworth, Mary Ellen Schattman, John F. Brannigan, and their spouses. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her infant son, Michael Joseph. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Tuesday, January 25, 2011, 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth Church, 917 Montrose Road, Rockville, MD, on Wednesday, January 26, at 12:30 p.m. Interment Arlington National Cemetery with Full Military Honors at 3 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St John Vianney Catholic Church, 105 Vianney Lane, Prince Frederick, MD 20678.www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

Nathan, we all know you would, and your grandmother would understand completely and tell you not to worry about it, just spend some time that afternoon in the back pews, praying for her, and then go have an ice cream soda in her honor! love, Uncle Chris
