I am so surprised at Mike's sudden passing. I just heard about it and I feel really bad. Mike and I worked on a proposal together at Deloitte a few months ago and he did not tell me about his cancer treatment. I truly wish the best for his wife and kids. May we remember the consummate person that Mike was and keep his hope alive.

To the Spicely family: My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. I pray that the love and peace of God will comfort you in your sadnesss and also lift your spirits as you cherish and celebrate the memory and life of your dear son, husband, father, brother, friend. I can remember Mrs. Spicely warmly smiling as she would speak of Mikey in my third grade class; and then seeing the same warm spirited smile from Mikey in the halls of DCHS. No words can stop the hurt & heartache that is felt but knowing that Mikey is now with our Lord and Savior, with no more pain and no more sickness will help to ease the pain.
2 Timothy 4:7-8 (7) I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: (8) Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

There are no words to help ease your pain, but just know that God has His hands on you. Hold on to God's unchanging hand in everything that you do. He will guide you when you don't know what to do. When the tears never stop, Look towards Heaven and Mikey will send his loving arms to hold you and to embrace you, and he will wipe your tears away. Then God will send you a rainbow to brighten your day and to reassure you that there is nobody greater than He. From the moment he was born,Mikey lit up any room with his smile. What a privilage it was to have a cousin like him. At a low point in my life,as a young man, he made time for Danielle and T.J. His love of God, family and friends will always be a testimony of how a believer in Christ should love and live. May God grant peace, power and provision to Dolly & kids, Uncle Preston and Aunt Millie, and Anthony. May He supply strength to his friends and family. His departure has left a large hole in my heart. Words cannot express the depth of the loss that I feel, but I know that we have all been made the better by our relationship with Mike regardless of how long or how short it was. I know that he is "home" with the Lord, with a much deserved reward! While I accept God taking him...I certaintly don't like it
