Sure miss our Sunday talks... All the others too but we knew Sunday was dedicated to talking and hearing jazz playing in your background. Much time has passed since you've been gone, but all the Memories never will. Love you and miss you Daddy!

My deepest condolences to the loved ones and friends of the deceased. Scripture says, "Sorrow endureth for a night but joy cometh in the morning." God sees our tears and acknowledges our sorrow. This scripture gives us hope. No matter the depth of our pain, our hearts will heal. God is loving, kind, and merciful, lean on him. He is our comforter.

I just heard of Nate's passing and offer my prayers and condolences to the family. I worked with Nate during the eighties and early nineties. He was a great co-worker and friend. May God continue to watch over you during this difficult time.

Nate hired me in 1975 and we remained friends for 35 years. I will always remember that even as a brand new employee Nate always made sure to include me in group lunches at Dankers, ODonnells, Millers and the Lincoln House. Through the years, we also had a lot of good times at the Old Post Office watering holes after work. I will really miss him. Jeff

To the Family,

I am so very sorry to hear about Nate's passing. He was a tremendous friend, mentor, supervisor. I was Nate's secretary back in the mid eighties... He kept in touch with me and some of his other employees and from time to time we would get together and laugh about how tough he could be and how his expectations made us all work harder to be the best we could be. A few months back when we learned of his illness we kept trying to get together but we were unable to schedule a good time for him. I'm truly sorry we did not get the chance to see him again. I just want you to know he was loved and respected by his colleagues. May the Lord comfort you in your time of bereavement.
Sincerely,
Meta Dawkins Mayne

To Justin's words I can only add that Nate was always generous with his time and knowledge. I often depended on him for advice.
He was a good man and a gentleman in every sense.

Thanks for a rewarding career choice and direction Pops

He was a man of wisdom, he was a man of discipline; he was a refined and dignified man, raised with an integrity that he carried throughout his life. He grew into a compassionate and patience man with insight and wisdom that brought him closer to the Lord and his children. His influence, support and knowledge were shared with us and will continue to guide me even in his passing. Pops was a noble man ready with concern and generous with engagement. Thank you Pops, I will miss you terribly and remember you always.

Love Justin:(

Nate and I met more than half a life-time ago in the mid-west. Since that time our respective careers took us and our families many places in the US. We stayed in close touch and enjoyed each others company, hospitality, a lot of jokes and, I don't mind saying, more than a few convivial cups. I need not remind his family what a good man he was and I shall miss him.
