I feel blessed to have known Rita - a gifted woman who shared those gifts so freely and generously with others. What a void her passing has created. I cherish the memories of this valiant and generous woman who was always doing for others. There is no doubt in my mind that Rita continues to care for all of us from her place in heaven.
I pray that the Lord will surround you with His love and comfort you with His peace.

Why was Rita one of the most special people in my life? Rita lived her faith every day of her life! She made me laugh when I wanted to cry because she always had words of encouragement in addition to just the right amount of humor to make me smile.
Her infectious love for children, her family, the school community, and living her faith made her a shining example to those of us who were fortunate to know her. I believe that Rita is in God's presence where there is no sin, no suffering, all of the fellowship of God's saints of every age and in perfect love! I pray for comfort for the Mennella family every day.

Rita, your smile and cheery face are missed. You would always light up the room when you talked and nothing that you ever said was negative. Your legacy will always be all the children (and adults) that you touched. May your family find comfort in knowing that you influenced so many people.

Instead of praying for Rita, now we can pray to Rita. We know that because of her always generous heart she's looking down on us, and is our special guardian angel in heaven. We love you, Rita.
