I know that your family is hurting right now. My heartfelt prayers go out to your family. God has promised through his son, he will call our loved ones who has died, and they will hear his voice, and will come out. God can never lie. All of his promises comes true. Titus 1:2 and Joshua 23:14. Trust Him, and He will always be there for You!

We were very sorry to hear about Smitty and our deepest sympathy to Gay, Kelly and Robin. "To live in the hearts of those you leave behind, is not to die" and I believe you have lead a good good life to be remembered that way - Smitty did just that and he did it his way! Gay we will call you soon to get together - until then we hope you and the kids are comforted by the fact that Smitty was much loved by everyone.

Just found out about Smitty and it was the first time that a smile or great memory didn't happen when the big man's name came up. Deepest sympathy to Gay, the kids and all the family he treasured so much.

Smitty's generousity, laugh, love of family and zest for life will always bring smiles to everyone who had the good fortune to know him.

To Uncle Smitty,

Clearly one of the most caring, thoughtful and compassionate men I ever knew. He was one that always had a kind and uplifting word. And as a kid, I will always remember and cherish those Sunday summer afternoons at the pool. I know now that not only was it fun, but a valuable learning experience in seeing how important family was to Uncle Smitty and that he conveyed this fact to me and everyone around him. A lesson that I carry with me today and with my family. Uncle Smitty will be missed but not forgotten. As in the movie a Wonderful Life; Remember no man is a failure who has friends, so in Uncle Smitty’s case he was a very successful man and really did have a wonderful life.

Our most heartfelt sympathies to the family. Smitty was a very kind and gentle man. My children will cherish the memories being around him with his many stories and just being a fun person. We will all miss him.

Much Love Tom & Trish Crowell

Smittys'kind heart and warm smile will be with me the rest of my life. What a great guy he was, to everyone. Just like his brothers and sisters who have passed on, his memory will be forever in my heart...FOREVER in my heart..
