On Sunday, March 13, 2011, of Hyattsville, MD. Beloved husband of 56 years of Mary T. Flaherty; father of Martin (Catherine) Flaherty, Maureen (Michael) Klem, Kathleen (Steven) Hantzis, John (Kathryn) Flaherty; grandfather of Kristina, Kara, Patrick, Bridget, Karly, Colleen and Brendan. Also survived by eight siblings and numerous nieces and nephews. Sorry for your loss. Pete was one of the best that ever came out of Ireland.I remember first meeting him in 1959. A real gentleman.We will all miss him.

Years ago, I worked with Mr.Flaherty at The Mayflower Hotel. He was beloved by both guests and employees. He always had a smile,kind words and a twinkle in his eye.
He'll be greatly missed. My heartfelt condolences to his family.
