On Thursday, August 22, 2013, of Kensington, MD. Beloved husband of Monica Haley; father of Peter Robert Haley, V and Faith Cerny; step-father of Joshua Rodman and Joseph Rodman; son of Georgianna Haley and the late Peter Robert Haley; brother of Michael Patrick (Julie), Matthew James, Thomas Joseph (Roseanna), and Nora Virginia (Carl) Ellison. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may call at Holy Redeemer Church, Summit Ave & Cable Drive, Kensington, MD on Sunday, August 25, 2013, 5 to 8 pm. where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 26, 2013 at 10:30 am. Carol Maloney just told me about Pete's passing. I haven't seen him in a number of years, but remember him as being full of life. I first met him in the 9th grade when he and his Catholic school buddies entered Kensington Junior High for a year. i know he went on to being a high school football star and later played in college. I know how much he'll be missed.

Peter was simply a great guy with a wonderful smile and sense of humor. I had the opportunity to reconnect with him at Gene Gillen's memorial service in February, and we shared K-town stories and caught up like it was yesterday. Deepest sympathies to all the Haleys on your loss. You are a wonderful caring family and Peter was one of a kind.

We only had the pleasure of getting to know Pete for a short time in the past year or so, but what a delightful gentleman he was. We were heartbroken to learn of Pete's passing and hold a very special place in our heart for him. Pete renovated our kitchen 2 years ago and our entire family adored him. He was full of light, laughter and love and I always smiled to see him walking up the driveway. Indeed, Peter was a very fine and special soul. He left everyone better for having known him. He will be sorely missed at the Brent household. Our heartfelt condolences to his entire family.

I met Peter at Print 1 and probably saw him more sitting at Raku enjoying his Sushi! Peter was always up beat and in a joyful mood when he came to Print 1 or any other time I saw him around town. His soul will be missed amongst us, but will rejoice in Heaven! God bless the Hailey family!

Very sad to hear this, I don't check in often enough here and that's why I'm so late writing this. Pete Haley was a great guy and a great coach who meant a lot to all of us SJC football players. Coach Haley wasn't just your coach, he was like that cool big brother or favorite uncle that always had a great piece of advice for you. He could get you fired up for a game or just a routine practice. He was so inspired and excited and pumped up about the Cadets and winning the next game. He gave me great coaching tips and advice about school, life, whatever. He was a true tough guy who made all of us better. Can't say enough great things about the kind of person he was and how much he loved SJC and everything about it. Rest In Peace, Pete Haley, and my deepest condolences to your family.

Less than a year ago we became business associates, discovered that we were both Gonzaga parents, and became great friends.
