I offer my sincere condolences to the Tobiassen Family. Ralph was my first ASAC, too, at WFO when I was a young, new Agent. I cannot write it any better than Ron Lizotte did. I could actually see Ralph in my mind back at WFO as I read. While he often sternly referred to me as mere "pin on a map," he always found a way to motivate me and make me feel proud of my accomplishments. Ralph knew he worked all of us hard but he also knew he was setting the foundations of our success. My the Lord bless him and all of you.

I worked for Ralph circa '78-'79 WFO. Tough but fair! May the good Lord bless and keep you.

Ralph was my first Agency boss, ASAC at WFO. I fondly remember him standing at the door of his office, looking over his glasses at the new WFO agents who might be in that day, seeing someone (often me) who cought his interest, motioning with his index finger for that Agent to come into his office for a "discussion" of a particular case. For a new agent attempting to show his/her best, it was reminescent of being called into the principal's office :). He was a good teacher who inspired me to subsequently become an ASAC. Assuming that I ultimately make it to Heaven, I wouldn't be surprised to see him at the gate, looking over his glasses and again motioning me to see him in his office. May Our Lord comfort his family during the coming months.
