Dear Mary: Ronnie and I just got back from a pilgimage/tour to Oberammergau, and I only learned this morning (Sunday) at church of Bob's death. He was a wonderful, friendly, helpful man. You, of course, will miss him the most, but there are many others who will be saddened by his absence. Love, Bill Lowell

Mrs. Grealy, Sisty, Cathy and Robert,
Your husband and father was an amazing man, admired and respected by all he met. I know he will be greatly missed by many people, but most especially by all of you. I'm honored that I was able to know him.
Much love,

Dear Mary,
Through a friend in Virginia I heard about Bob's passing. I am so sorry and will keep you in my prayers. I don't know if you even remember me. My name is Monika Nietert Buckley and we met in Danang, Vietnam. I worked in the German Maltese Hospital and married Tom Buckley. Again my condolences.

Rosemary,and family,
I know the girls must be taking this hard - this must be their first loss of a close family member. That's tough.
I know how proud you were of your Dad -it showed in your eyes everytime you talked about him. And he of you. He was a quiet American hero and someone who truly made a difference in the world. I am convinced it's a better place because he was here. It was very special of you to share him with us, and the time we had to visit. Man what an amazing individual; and what an amazing life you had because of him.
Darn glad he was on our side!!
You will remain in our thoughts. Keep us informed as best you can on arrangements and especially if a memorial of sorts is planned in the future. I think that would be a great thing - for all his old colleagues to come together for a remembrance gathering.
Take care and let us know how you are doing and what's up.
Love
