On Sunday, June 2, 2013 of Brookeville, MD. Beloved husband of Sandy Cordes; father of Brian and Daniel Cordes; son of Margarete Frances Cordes Johns and the late John Robert Cordes; step-son of the late Thomas Johns; brother of John (Margo) Cordes; step-brother of Bill (Kathy), Don (Frances), Mike (Lori), and Bob (Kathy) Johns. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Wednesday, June 5, 2013, 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial Service at Olney Baptist Church, 17525 Georgia Avenue, Olney, MD on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 11 a.m. Interment private. While Rob's passing leaves me with a heavy heart, I am so grateful that God saw fit to place him in my life. I have felt as close to Robo as I have to any of my brothers. I will sorely miss his always positive, playful attitude. Why does it seem that the ones that our world needs the most are taken so young? Well done, good and faithful servant! I'll miss you.
