ROBERT LINCOLN DRAKE
Robert L. Drake, 87, of Silver Spring, MD, formerly of Potomac, MD died on Friday, December 13, 2013 at Riderwood Retirement Village.He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Florrie; children Robert, Jr. (Mary Jo) of Gaithersburg, MD and Kathleen Drake of Rockville, MD; grandchildren Jeffrey Drake (Christie) of Germantown, MD, Cynthia Zalewski (Jefry) of Gaithersburg, MD; and five great grandchildren Timothy, Sarah and Rebecca Zalewski and Connor and Caitlin Drake; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of the University of Maryland and a proud Navy veteran serving from 1944 through 1946. He retired in 1990 from Price Waterhouse in Washington, DC where he had served as Audit Manager and later Personnel Director for 41 years.A memorial service will be held at the Riderwood Village Chapel, 3110 Gracefield Rd., Silver Spring, MD 20904 on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 1 p.m. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, either online at www.woundedwarriorproject.org or sent by mail to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
