JAMES ROBERT GILES, SR. (Age 78)
On Friday, February 14, 2014, of Penn National, PA formerly of Calverton, MD. Beloved husband of Catherine Barnette Giles; father of Laura Lynne (Raymond) Bunner, James "Jamey" Robert (Joyce) Giles, Jr., Susan Claire Evans and Virginia "Ginger" Catherine (Scott) Harwerth. Grandfather of Raym, Jacqueline, Nathan, Michael, Trevor, Jessica, Julianne, Melissa, Ryan, Derek, Amanda, Cole, Jason and Jennifer. Brother of Jane Clover of California and Henry Wilson "Bill" Giles, Jr. of North Carolina. Also survived by five nephews and two nieces. A memorial service will be celebrated at Cedar Ridge Community Church, 2410 Spencerville Road, Spencerville, MD 20868 on Sunday February 23, 2014 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins, 100 North Charles Street, #234, Baltimore, MD 21201.www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

Dear Cathy & Children
It seems like yesterday that we visited with you in Fla.
Needless to say, I have many fond memorials of Jim Bob in our high school and football years.
I don't recall which trip it was because there were many that in the middle of the night traveling home that we would hear Jim Bob yell like some wild man from leg muscle pains.
He now joins many of our old football buddies - Has his on team now.
Our prayers are with you and family.

I was so very sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I spoke with Cathy Saturday and suggested that she put a notice in the Post and Courier here in Charleston. They have so many old friends here, especially from high school.
I have a picture of the Chicora High School football B-Team Jim Bob was on that his friend Ed Sweatman emailed me to forward to your family. If you will email me at [email protected] I will send it on to you.
